Crimson Desert (Korean: 붉은사막; RR: Bulgeunsamak) is a 2026 action-adventure role-playing video game developed and published by Pearl Abyss. Originally planned as a prequel to Black Desert Online, the game evolved into a standalone title during development. It was released for macOS, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on March 19, 2026.[2] It received generally positive reviews, although criticism was directed at its narrative and puzzles. Commercially, the game was very successful, surpassing two million copies sold within its first day of release and three million in the first week. [3]
